A very handy device for older TV’s
I bought this device because I wanted the convenience of Bluetooth for old equipment that didn’t have that facility, especially for my TV’s.I have found it simple to use and reliable and I can now watch TV unobtrusively wearing my Bluetooth headphones. It has the bonus of being able to RECEIVE Bluetooth, so you can blast sound from your phone through old amplifiers and other sound devices by plugging it in to the AUX socket. Its’ one catch is that it has no facility for deivices with an optical audio socket, such as Samsung TV series 7 and above. However I got round this by plugging it into my cable TV set top box instead. You can also purchase a second device that converts optical to phono and plug the BTI-018 into that. The BTI-018 does exactly what I wanted it to do and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Good value for money, but not perfect.
I use this device in transmitter mode to connect an old Pioneer turntable remotely to the power amp. Connection was simple and trouble free and performance is adequate. Frequency response seems very flat compared to a direct hard wired connection but it does the job at a very reasonable price and to get something better means paying a great deal more. So, good value.

A great little device
This is a really easy to use device. I connected it to the outputs on my Teac amp with the supplied leads and now bluetooth the sound direct to my LG soundbar system wirelessly, which meant I could take out my wired in Bose speakers and sub that had started getting in the way in our newly redecorated lounge area. The sound from the LG soundbar and connected subwoofer is perfectly acceptable. It takes barely a second or two to BT back to the soundbar whenever the button is switched on, on the device. The sound level is then controlled using my soundbar remote. All very simple, all very tidy, all very good. If you have BT surround speakers, this would work with those too!

It works ok once it connects
I bought this item to Bluetooth from my ageing hi-fi in the spare room which will still play tapes as well as cdâs to connect to my sound bar, Alexa and a portable speaker in my living room. After some time it will connect to the speaker but no luck so far with the sound bar or device.

WARNING! There should be a MINUS STAR RATING.
It looked the part, optimistically I paid a price that i hoped would guarantee a modest quality.NO. IT IS RUBBISH. SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK.I had purchased it to use in my car, to link a CD player to the blue tooth system. When it wouldn’t link I assumed it was the car system not picking it up for some reason.I held on to it for another project. But again NO! It’s bluetooth facility simply is not ‘visible’ under any circumstances or any ther working bluetooth facilitated equipment which does in fact work perfevctly well.Dreadful piece of kit

Great multi-purpose transmitter
This is exactly what I was looking for, simple controls make pairing easy (although make sure nothing else in the house is trying to pair with it apart from your headphones, my downstairs TV tried to pair with it first time round without me knowing!?), battery life seems more than sufficient (since Iâve yet to drain it completely) – I guess my only issue would be that thereâs a built in ânoise-gateâ which cuts out the volume if your signal is too quiet – and by too quiet, I mean just under âsafeâ listening levels – which means watching a movie with quiet dialogue means it cuts out but since got this for music purposes Iâm very happy – low price means a dedicated volume dial has been omitted also, but itâs hardly the end-of-the-world really – no noticeable âlatencyâ lag either – recommended.

Excellent bluetooth gadget.
Been using it for 2 weeks now and still on the original charge (I did top the charge when I got it). I have been using it nearly every day for over hour at a time and closer to 90 minutes. I think I have gone past the 14 hours. No problems with sync but I use it on the headphone socket of a amplifier which all my devices go through. I have tried it with 3 bluetooth headphones/earphones just fine as well as turning wired earphones into bluetooth ones too. This was in receiver mode and connected to my phone..Easy to use. Press down on button to turn it on (LED turns blue), then double tap it again to start pairing (LED flashes blue). I found it is best to turn the bluetooth on the headphones first then double tap on the gadget. It seems to find and pair quicker. It then turns a solid blue. Make sure it is turned off when not in use by pressing the button down otherwise it will stay on all the time.I have just noticed that not all the red LED lights on my one go on when charging or in standby, I have a pair of headphones coming today so decided to charge it up full again and just noticed the LED’s.. I believe there should be 4 LED’s making the circle and only get 3. I still get 4 blue LED’s when bluetooth is on. As I only charged it once, it may have always been like that. One of the photos show the red light on and not quite a complete circle but got a full blue circle when in operation.Comes with a micro usb charging cable (not too long but seen shorter ones). 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to connect to headphone socket as well as a audio adapter to turn the 3.5mm audio cable into red and white phono plugs on one end. The adapter is needed for receiver mode so it can connect to aux input on a Hi Fi amp and turn a Hi Fi into a bluetooth capable one. If the aux input is a 3.5mm socket then the adapter is not needed. The manual is good and explains things well.Shame about the red LED but otherwise a cracking good gadget.

I’m lovin’ this item. Arrived promptly and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Was easy to set up and easy to pair with my headphones in transmit mode. The included cables allow it to be used with a number of different formats – especially useful for those legacy devices. And I think it was really good value for the money, too. All-in-all, a perfect solution. Highly recommended.

First off, I want to say that this is not easy to initially learn. It literally only has one big button and a switch to toggle receiver/transmitter mode. You’ll NEED to read the manual to understand how to use it. But for those who don’t like small font, long press once on the button from off mode to power on, then keep holding to enter pairing mode. Enter other device in pairing mode, and magic will happen after roughly 2-3 minutes. If you want to pair a 2nd device while on transmitter mode, double click the button while device is on (and connected) and set your headphones on pairing mode.**Switching from Transmitting mode to Receiving (and vice versa) will delete its memory of all paired devices!Pros: Audio is really crisp and latency is really low. I tried to game with this on Overwatch and you can hear extremely minimal delay, but it’s very much playable. Once it connected to my bluetooth Sony headphones, it also remembered it to auto-connect which is nice. Battery is EXTREMELY good. I was shocked but this unit lasted several nights over multi-hour gamings sessions with its built in battery (obviously i turned it off without use). It’s still really shocking considering the quality of audio and how small/lightweight this is.Cons: it only takes 3.5mm and does NOT connect to PC via USB. It only charges via USB. The micro-USB charging cable provided is charge-only, not a data cable, but even with a data compatible cable, drivers did not install on windows. I was sad b/c this popped up when i searched on amazon “USB aptx Low Latency receiver.” Just be warned this is designed as a universal solution, not necessarily for gamers in mind. As a result, i didn’t dock any stars due to my fault of interpretation, but it would be really nice to have windows drivers for this for PC gamers
