    Good Value, offers essential functions
My partner didn’t have a dashcam and also complained that visibility in her astra is quite poor when reversing (I concur after driving her car). As a result it seemed this device overcome both issues.I’ve not got around to fully installing the device (hardwire and cable routing) due to illness since Christmas however basic instal of the mirror connected to cigarette/accessory socket provided enough opportunity to test and use basic functions. Advanced features such as parking monitoring / 24hour surveillance only work when permanently hardwired. The mirror instal is simple and easy, a couple of silicone bands simply loop around the existing mirror and firmly connect to mounting tabs on the dashcam mirror holding it firmly in place. The cables plug into the top of the mirror as is the SD card slot (an issue exists here and not limited to this brand but something to be aware of…. some cars like my e class Merc do not have much clearance between the top of the mirror and the mounting location so adjustment and fitting could be difficult on some cars. This was not the case in this instance). The camera slides out the side of the mirror (passenger side – UK cars) and then offers further adjustability to capture the correct view. To note this may obstruct some sun visors .The quality is adequate, don’t expect cinema quality but it will capture what you need. It’s better than a basic dashcam I had in the past and that was adequate back in the day. There are lots of options and configuration adjustments but check YouTube and there are many examples of the functions and what they do.we are undecided if the rear camera will be mounted external by number plate or internally pointing out the top of the back window. Again basic testing has shown this to be adequate. When fully installed I understand the camera/mirror will show the reversing grid lines to aid reverse parking. The installation to do this is as simple as connecting to the reverse light positive cable and earthing the other cable. This should automatically flick the mirror to rear camera mode once reverse is engaged. The mirror can show either front view, rear view camera or split screen and show both. The screen can be turned off so the mirror acts as a regular rearview mirror. Further to the physical camera adjustments the view can be swiped up or down on the mirror to achieve the correct field of view.Overall the device is good value and provides multiple functions without the need of multiple devices. The installation once hardwired will provide a clean look. The only thing I don’t like is that I wish there was an option for the display not to come on when powering on the car…it automatically defaults to front camera or rear camera…. personally I don’t want it to show any camera (Not sure why you need to see front facing camera anyway) and the rear camera I only want to see when reverse is engaged. You can turn the screen off and recording continues or there is an option to turn of screen after a minute or so. It’s not a big issue and more an annoyance. And if someone borrows your car and aren’t aware this could cause them confusion …. especially if they do not know how to turn the screen off.Overall I’m happy withe purchase, my partner is happy with peace of mind on her commutes now. Once the reverse camera is fully installed in the preferred location then this will be a great device.I’ll update the review once I’m well (not on crutches) and have spenr time wiring the hardwire kit and camera in its final location. The customer service team were great to follow up on my purchase to ensure everything was well with product. As it was a Christmas gift I advised id write a review after Christmas. Sadly I’ve not been able to write the review as quickly as I hoped again due to being poorly since Christmas. So far the product and customer service gets a thumbs up from me. I’d happily buy again with the understanding you are not paying for or getting industry leading image quality. It will however do what it says on the tin.

So,if your like me and came across this dashcam, thinking the price is too good to be true and with not many reviews posted (11 when I ordered mine), you were unsure whether to risk it? Here’s why I think you SHOULD risk it:●it’s an amazing camera for the price. In fact I would say its on apar with the £170 ones. Not that I’ve tried one of the more expensive ones, but I’m very impressed with the quality you get from this dashcam. Considering other standard front and rear camera prices are over £40 nowadays, the £59 price for this is a steal. It feels quality too. No skipping corners from this manufacturer● the camera itself is very easy to use. The menu and functions are simplistic which is great for a touch screen dashcam. And I can easily flick between screens whilst driving. The screen also has a ‘mirror’ type look so you can still use it as a reflection, as well as the recorded screen (it does take a while to get used to seeing a live video stream rather then a pure reflection, took me a few days to get used to it. Also weird not seeing your own reflection. But I’m seeing that as a good thing when I have no makeup on)● Fitting the camera is easy. There is the option of fitting it to your reverse light wire, however I wasn’t worried about that so I bundled up the red wire and tucked it away. The cable to the back camera is very generous in length, so it doesn’t matter where you tuck it in, there’s plenty of spare wire to make sure it reaches the front camera, whichever car or van you have. They give you a little tool to help put the wire into the rubber or felt edging to your car too●Attaching the camera to the mirror is simply done by two rubber bands that wrap it to the existing mirror. There is also two rubber mounts behind the dashcam to ensure it doesn’t scratch the mirror. The bands can ping off when trying to install it, but luckily there are spares with the kit. Once the bands are in correctly the camera does not wobble or move. It’s very secure, even on bumpy touraine.● I was impressed with the cameras themselves. The reverse camera comes with the sticky tab option or with a screw in option. I used the two screws to attach it to the felt just above the back seats so it looks out the back. So far it’s holding. The front camera which is on the side of the mirror, can slide out about an inch to make sure it acomodates any size mirror. On the screen itself, you can adjust the view you see by scrolling up and down. When you have the two screens on at once, it does a fish lense view to show you both full wwindows. Personally I just have the reverse view on perminatly.● I’ve tried the sd card to see how the video looks, as i was a bit concerned that the free storage card might not be up to scratch with the quality. But again I was pleasantly surprised at how good quality it filmed. It films around two days worth of footage. So obviously nothing is perfect, and I will mention the minor things that I did experience with this camera. But just to note, it’s not anything major that would have stopped me from purchasing it: firstly the camera had a slight hissy fit when I first tried it out. It seemed to not record, but showed the camera screens and then refused to turn off. I took out the card which seemed to snap it out of its frozen state. And when I put it back in it asked me to format the card, and since then I’ve had no issues. It’s been as good as gold since, so I’m just putting that down to the card needing a format? Secondly, the reverse camera does seem to record in the opposite mirror image. As in the image is flipped. There could be a setting to change this though? Either way it’s still recording so that’s fine! So, basically buy this camera if you want one that doesn’t interfere with your window screen and looks awesome!

  3. Amazon Customer

    Don’t buy
Worked fine for few months very happy. Them the screen started going and flashing on and off. Contacted customer service still within my 12 months explained what’s happend. They just said was it human damage we don’t cover human damage? I explained no it’s not been touched the screen is going and glaring nothing to do with humans and they just ingored me. Other reviews say the screen goes avoid
