Brilliant performance
Easy to set up.Only took 10mins to set up and I love the fact it comes straight on as I start the car with my music. Does everything you want it to and looks great . I like the way can use Bluetooth . Screen works really well and only needs a light touch . Fantastic value for money.Would definitely recommend.Loved the packaging makes it look good value and had clear instructions.

Great price and great kit.
I spent some time searching for one of these to update my car system. Comes with various mounts, it fits snuggle in the spot here. Love that itâs Bluetooth and cabled for audio. Instructions are not the best. Remember to select your audio output or you get a horrific noise! I thought it was broken until I realised it was looking for a different audio connections. Iâm using a aux cable. Switched it to aux and the noise stopped. Touch screen is great, clear and easy to see, day and night. So far so good.

Not great quality
One of the mounts was missing and support was very poor.Set up was easy, screen quality good, it dropped connection repeatedly so leads were required which added clutter. It stopped working within 24 hours.Power cable connection is in the side which isnât allowed for in the dimensions so allow extra space.Purchased an alternative brand and the quality difference is significant in all areas.

Great value!
I usually don’t leave reviews unless a product truly stands out, especially when there are numerous alternatives that overpromise and underdeliver. Here’s what I appreciate about this product:It offers great value. The connection to Android Auto is impressively fast, taking just 10 seconds at most. The touch sensitivity is excellent. The screen is semi-matte, preventing distracting reflections. The menu system is simple, easy to use, and understand. It seamlessly connects to my existing FM stereo via the built-in FM transmitter. The supplied mounting brackets are of good quality. The unit is low profile (approximately 20mm) and features a 4-hole click-in universal mounting type, compatible with various mounts. The video player is fantastic, playing any file type without issues. As for cons, I honestly can’t find any.I installed this in my 2007 Astra van, placing it in front of the old radio display, which is now unnecessary as I use TuneIn on Android Auto for my radio needs.

Seems good – automatic night dimming etc. doesn’t work on Android Auto
I’ve just collected this and installed it. It seems to work well. I have used cars with factory installed Android Auto before and it seems indistinguishable from that. I haven’t tried the Carplay functionality but I imagine it will be just as good.I bought mine in July 2023 and it had the April 2023 firmware already installed – which at the moment is the latest version. This already allows for Bluetooth music playing via Android Auto – So you can probably ignore the note about needing to update the firmware to gain this functionality. There are two minor things I would like to see changed: firstly it has a start up chime which I can’t seem to turn off. (Edit: you can reduce the volume of this by adjusting the built-in speaker volume). Secondly, it would be really nice to have automatic brightness based on a light sensor. But at this price I will forgive that. It has a menu setting for adjusting the brightness based on start and stop times but apparently this only works with Carplay or Android cast – At least according to the instruction manual and notes on the screen. Hopefully a firmware update will allow that to work also with Android Auto. Given that it knows the time (and location?) from your phone, it would be even better if it could just do sunrise and sunset based changes automatically. EDIT: Confirmed that the time-based auto dimming does not work with Android Auto. Also, the maps stay in day mode all the time – seems quite a common bug with these devices. It can be switched to night/dark mode manually through the settings icon in the Android Auto UI (or on the phone) but it still seems an unnecessary pain to have to do that. The device also does not honour the Android Auto developer option “phone controls night/day setting”. So you’re stuck with an overly bright map at night unless you switch it manually. It seems bright enough for daytime on maximum brightness – it is a bright sunny day at the moment.I have it fixed to the windscreen and it is resting on the dashtop. It may need some blue tack or something similar just to finalise that arrangement. This is reversible and doesn’t require me to use the sticky pad that has been supplied. So far, so good. I will update as I gain more experience with it.The device turns on and off with power so if you have a cigarette lighter socket or similar that is ignition switched then you don’t need to worry about the power switch on the device as it will simply start with the car. Having retrofitted Android Auto and Apple Carplay before, this looks like a really great solution, which doesn’t involve ripping apart the dash and actually looks quite nice.EDIT: To get auto connect to work nicely, you need to leave the settings at “Default (set by car)” for Start Android Auto automatically.EDIT: Occasionally the bluetooth media does not work correctly and audio comes out of phone speakers instead. This seems go be a timing issue – what device connects first. My car already has two separate bluetooth connections: one for handsfree phone and one for media audio – so maybe is a bit complicated.Just downgraded to three stars as a recent update has stopped the Bluetooth audio working on Android. Selecting this causes Android Auto to disconnect and reconnect roughly every 10 seconds rendering the device unusable. Have raised a support ticket to see if there is a fix but have received no reply. The audio quality is nothing like as good on Aux or FM and it stops the steering wheel controls working. There are cheaper devices for sale without the Bluetooth functionality.

Apple car play and dash cam for older Car.
No complaints about this product. Sets up easily, good screen as well as dash cam. Links to phone easily. Internal speaker is poor though can play through aux or fm radio or Bluetooth is your car has it. Magnetic mount is good for dashboard.

After a month of use, I remain very impressed with this small airplay unit. I bought it primarily to use in rental cars. I do a lot of rentals for work and want to have airplay/android auto when I’m traveling. Not all rental cars have it. Honestly, my 10 year old daily driver doesn’t have it either…1. Rental car use…The suction cup mount works surprisingly well and reliably. The biggest problem is finding a good spot on the window, where the dashcam has a good view, the device is reachable to use the touch screen and it’s not in the way of driving visibility. So far, every car I’ve tried it has been successful, with a bit of tweaking at the outset. No complaints.I also REALLY like that in a rental car, I can tell by BT connection NOT to share my contacts and messages, since this unit handles contacts, messages and phone calls perfectly. No need to share your data with the rental car. Just connect your phone to the car via BT and select NO when it asks about sharing contacts and messages. Everything will show up on this device instead. Or.. you can share with the car if you want to…2. Personal vehicle….I was pretty happy to have airply in the rentals so I decided to install a dash mount in my car to use it there also. The included dash mount is a little short for my sloped dash, so, I ordered a mag safe mount intended for phones that is taller and I installed that on my das. This little unit fit perfectly. I have a good view of the road and the unit is in easy reach to manage the touch screen…One small problem with initial installation… I don’t know what caused it, but, the first time I connected this unit to my phone, it would drop out my music constantly… I wound up deleting all of the BT connections, updating the firmware and reconnecting everything from scratch. After that, no problems since (been about a month so far)…And just a reminder.. this unit is small… it’s a fine size for the job it needs to do… slightly bigger than my phone screen… The size is actually quite good for leaving you with mounting options that don’t block visibility. I tried a much bigger 9″ screen version of a similar device and hated how it blocked my view pretty much anywhere I tried to mount it… so.. this thing works great for me, but, keep the smallish size in mind.Bottom line… this thing works great and although I had to spend an extra $10 on a taller dash mount, I’m quite happy with this. Solid 5 stars.

Installed with no problems. Used it on an out of town trip to a new location, and had no issues. I use the Android interface. Have not tried screen casting yet. One note – the unit only remembers the last phone connected. If a different driver whose phone is paired to the car gets in to drive, they must pair with the device. When the primary driver uses the car again, they must reconnect to the device. Other than this, it’s an excellent purchase.

This unit is amazing! Better than expected!Image quality is excellent! When connected with the aux jack to my cars radio, the sound is unbelievable coming through my cars Bose sound system.Customer service is unbelievable! It is the best I’ve ever dealt with. If you have any issues, call their customer service.I paired my device easily, but I couldn’t get android auto to work. I chatted with an Amazon representative, but he wasn’t able to help. I called the tech support number on the manual, but no one answered so I hung up without leaving a message. About 5 minutes later I get a call from an odd number, it was customer support… you called our support line? Even though he was an iPhone user, he helped me navigate Android auto, I had a setting turned off. Then it worked great.I took it for a drive and realized I could turn the volume all the way off on my cars speakers, but the music was still playing through the units built in microphone loudly and I couldn’t stop it. I called and left a message for customer support, BOOM they called me right back. He directed me to a setting on the unit to only play through the aux jack. It works better than I ever expected.I can’t say enough about this product and their customer service.

Easy way to add Car Play and Android Auto to a car that didn’t have it. This is the right size for my ’16 MINI Cooper. The other models are waaaay too big for a car this small. I gave it 4stars because I feel the the description is misleading. Saying “fast charging” to me meant this was a rechargeable device. The pictures illustrating it’s install furthered that interpretation. It is not. Fast charging meanest there’s a fast charging USB-C port on the power supply. I hate the fact a device on the dash or windshield is tethered….
