Easy installation and great reversing camera
Bought this recently to fit on our Mazda as it’s a struggle to reverse into tight spaces at times due to poor visibility from the driving position. The device consists of the solar panel, battery and camera as a single sealed unit and a display with holder and 12V power plug. The unit was easy to fit, I removed the rear licence plate and used some rubbing alcohol to clean the back of the plate before sticking the camera unit on with the provided double sided tape. I offset the unit position on the plate so that the camera itself was in the middle as you can see from the picture. I fitted the display unit low and on the passenger side of the central console. The display holder is robust and is holding well on the side of the console. I have the default guidelines set on the display but these can be changed through the menu. To use the reversing camera you just press the button on the 12V power plug in unit and the display will come on for a set time before turning off to save battery life on the camera unit. I have it set for 90 seconds which is ample for parking but if you need to you can always press the button again if you need more time or set it for a longer period to 120 seconds. The camera as an up down adjustment so that you can set it just right for your vehicle. The picture quality is good for the task of reversing and the guide marks on the display are helpful for judging distance. This is a great reversing camera, which is very easy to fit, performs well and provides a good image. I am very pleased with this unit and I can highly recommend it for anyone wishing to add this safety feature to their vehicle that makes parking so much easier.

Quality value & easy to fit
My second AutoVox product, I really like them they always come nicely packaged & looking like professional kit. So easy to set up, clear instructions but infact my camera was already pre-paired so I didn’t even need to do that part. Charging the back up battery was quick & easy. It’s a nice compact little screen so not too intrusive in the cabin but ample to see the picture, a good balance in my opinion. And the picture is very clear. I really like the battery & camera unit too its smart looking that too was easy to fit & you can adjust the camera to fine tune the angle. All round another very good product, that’s great value for money from a company that gives you excellent customer support too should you need it.

Simple to fit and effective to use
This camera certainly fulfilled all my expectations.It arrived well packed with everything needed to fit it to my car. A nice touch was a proper instruction booklet in 4 different languages, including âproperâ English.Before fitting I tried it out indoors to check everything was working. I put the camera on charge using the supplied USB-A – micro USB cable and charging was confirmed with a small red LED which turns green when fully charged. The monitor plugs into the supplied 12V car adaptor which also contains a useful USB-A socket for other accessories as well as the activation button. With everything connected up I switched on the camera and within a couple of seconds I had a clear picture. No setting up was necessary, it just worked.The unit is designed to switch off the picture after a number of seconds which you can change in the menu system between 45 and 120 sec. Also, the picture can be inverted up and down and left and right.Fitting to the car is easy, just temporarily remove your number plate, stick the camera bracket to the back of the number plate with the supplied adhesive pad and refit the number plate. The camera is attached to the mounting plate with a small screw. The necessary Allen key is also supplied. The monitor is clipped to the supplied mounting bracket which is fixed either to the windscreen or suitable smooth flat surface on the dashboard. Plug in the power adaptor and thatâs it.The picture is clear and bright but both brightness and contrast can be adjusted. Importantly as different vehicles have different shaped rear ends, the camera can be swivelled up of down to get the correct angle.I also tried it on my motorhome and had no trouble with getting a perfect picture, even at the greater distance involved.Be aware that it is not linked in any way to the reverse gear of the car so you do need to press the button on the power adaptor to activate it. Using it a few times a day the suggested battery life is a couple of months between charges. All in all Iâm very pleased with it.

Easy to install ,decided to mount below the uk number plate so not obscure plate itself.Good quality screen & camera unit with clear instructions. No problems with signal on a 7.5m motorhome with fairly good image.18mths warranty also included.

Works well so far
Bought this for our community minibus because we have a variety of drivers and it is hard for them to know how far they away from obstructions or other vehicles when reversing. Very neat, easy to install, and works well – good clear stable image. Needed to install at the bottom of the number plate to avoid obscuring the letters and numbers. Very pleased so far.I went to Halfords initially to ask their advice and they recommended this product even though they don’t sell it. I was told that a wired camera would pose problems (a) with hiding the wiring tidily inside the bus, and (b) because of the length of the vehicle some wiring extensions would be needed which would affect the image quality.

Easy to fit
It arrived fully charged and ready to go. Very easy and quick to fit. Had a few teething problems getting the menu up on the monitor but just persevered and set my preferences. Had to fit it on the bottom of my car number plate as it impeded the lights and opening mechanism at the top. The picture on the monitor is clear, theres no interference or lag. Its a great aid to reversing our estate car – especially at our advanced time of life ( pensioners) and at a much cheaper cost than having a reversing camera fitted. Would highly recommend.
