    Nice and big
On reflection would have gone for the 10” but the cost was so so much more.So The 8”, good size the features, still getting used to them.Warns you ofspeed limit changes in advance, usefulWindHeight restrictions, not sure if it would tell you a height limit is TOO low for your vehicle, time will tell.Shows good free parking spotsPointed out a camp site en-route we didn’t know was there.Might have to update this after we have had it a bit longer

    Great for motorhome
Large easy to view screen with height and width settings that calculate best routes for a motorhome

    Disappointed with the features
This is a good product in general. This navigation system needs a data usage (mobile phone) for the live features to function so please be aware. The points of interest option is limited and a little disappointing.

Simply Awful cheap and nasty device with awful software – Iphone Google maps 1000% better
I suspect by selling this as the ridiculous price Garmin hope to give the device an ‘aura’ of excellence. It reminds me of the original TomTom devices we used to spend hours wiring in and connecting to out 1990’s cars. It compares well to the first generation of dedicated SatNav devices, but by todays standard is simply the sort of thing you might fondly reminisce over when finding in the loft where it was rightly dumped 10+ years ago. With all updates applied, car and caravan configured, lets trial this device on 3 routes with know issues (thankfully not with the 41ft rig, but just with my car).Test one: local route with known dead end. Guess where Garmin took me? Yup, straight into the dead end with very little options to 65 point turn my way out. Had the van been on the back, then it would have been an unhitch and manually faff about in the dark and wet.Test two: another know problem area around Burton Bradstock, Dorset. There are two main routes into this camp site: the easy and safe route or the narrow, mutiple-blind junction single lane tracks one. I will give you 3 guesses? Nice one Garmin (Glad I don’t sail)Test three: local to home, route under the very low Victorian railway bridge with right angle exit, or the safer slightly longer route. More guesses as to Garmin’s preferred option? Now lets look at the amazingly intuitive software: theres just one word here. CRAPIt’s too late for me to return this piece of junk now, so all I can do is give this advice: DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY – USE GOOGLE!

    Sat Nav with Digital Traffic
I was struggling to find a sat nav with digital traffic built in. This model has this facility and means that you do not have to rely on steaming traffic from an app on a mobile phone. This Garmin model is quite expensive but I believe it provides all the features that campervan travellers need for smooth journey, with good information and clear mapping. So far I am very pleased with my choice.

Serious Map Errors and Failed Completely within 3 months
After purchasing this Camper satnav in September 2023 and whilst driving in France in October 2023, having carefully entered the vehicle width, length and height (3.1m), the satnav directed me into a narrow 2 lane underpass which has a height restriction of 2.2m – VERY UNSAFE. I stopped ahead of the signage, which was only on the underpass entrance. The road underpass was not a temporary structure nor did it appear recent in construction. Had I trusted the Garmin’s routing and lacked diligence a serious accident would have taken place causing potential injury to ourselves, to other road users, and would have destroyed our £25,000 camper. With errors as serious as this, embedded in either device firmware or the map database, this model Garmin product is not of merchantable quality and a danger to users who put their trust in it. Before making a complaint I used the product one more time recently, in December, and when given 2 UK postcodes, one in Leicestershire, one in Dorset, a ‘Cannot Compute Route’ fault arose. Upon re-try the device computed a travel distance of 81,000 miles, so this device is prone to serious faults as well as dangerous mapping errors. I’m seeking a full refund from Amazon upon return of the device and will make an alternative purchase.

    Great sat nav
First time we used the sat nav was for Scottish five hundred road trip , it kept us informed of the sharp bends in the road ahead and where to get the cheapest petrol. Took us on safest routes for motorhome, we very happy with our purchase, not tried it in EU yet but hoping it as good 👍🏻

I difetti superano i pregi.
