Love the ease of use, the colours, the instant response time, and the display fits in really well with the rest of my interior which is something I’m always concerned about with aftermarket head units. Wireless CarPlay is seamless.. so much easier than USB(!) although you do still have that option with this unit. I use Google Maps a lot and for me, having an older car made this a faff before using my phone and cradle but now Maps just boots up nice and easy on the big screen! The audio is fantastic too, it’s really clear with no muffled sounds. I can’t fault this product at all! I think it’s great, well worth the money for quality and convenience.

Great upgrade bringing CarPlay to any car!
I have recently upgraded to this headunit and it has been well worth it! I now use all my favourite Carplay apps like Spotify and Waze, even on the shortest of trips due to the ease of the wireless feature. This also saves having cables all over the dash of my car!The speed everything syncs up is amazing. It is super easy and quick to change between settings and features (specially whilst driving), allowing you to revert back to DAB if desired. The audio quality is also extremely crisp and clear and works extremely well with my upgraded audio and Kenwood underseat sub!Great upgrade and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to add DAB or Carplay to the car.

Easy installation and set up
Bought to replace an old kenwood stereo/ satnav that was installed in my car. Straight forward replacement which only required minimum changes to to wiring (ie. Reverse camera no longer plugs into the stereo so connecting of wires required)Having updated maps is great as the previous stereo has had no updates since 2014. And now I have more space in my centre console asbi no longer need to full it with cds

Screen is far too dim
When there is any ambient light. The screen is really difficult to see.I replaced it with a Pioneer. And itâs much better. It even sounds better.

Superb bit of kit!!!
Been searching for an affordable high speced headunit for quite a while now and decided to opt for the Kenwood DMX7722DABS and its a fantastic bit of kit with a crisp clear screen with fantastic sound when coupled with the Kewood door speakers and underseat sub it all delivers a clear impressive sound. Packed with features my favoritebeing the Apple/Android car play I simply get In the car and have instant connectivity to all my music, apps and calls it is also very easy to use!Has an oem factory plus feel with beautiful build quality makes this headunit a joy to use and U couldn’t be happier.I Highly recommended this headuni nothing compares at this price range top work Kenwood!!

Mega system! CarPlay is a game changer!
This is my first CarPlay system and its mega. The unit is very swift and very user friendly. I love having the big screen to help with the navigation. The wireless connectivity also means less cables around the dashboard which is a huge bonus. The option to see your contact on the screen is also great just in case you do need to make that important call on the move. The connection to apps like Spotify are instant and helps to get the tunes up and running straight away.The sound quality is very crisp and it was very easy to connect it up to my other other Kenwood speaker products. After a little bit of tweaking with the EQs I got the sound exactly where I wanted it.Overall I’m chuffed and this will make driving the wagon all that bit better.Super fast delivery from CarAudioSecurity too. Superb headunit
Just installed the headunit in my Renault Trafic , which was really easy and quick to install.What a game changer from standard OEM head units.The user interface is really easy to use, fast to link to CarPlay (wireless is next level easy) and the sound is a proper upgrade.Not one for normally writing reviews but this kenwood system warrants it.Proper bit of kit, very happy

I’ve been looking to replace the head unit in my T5 for a long time now but could never find exactly what i was looking for, until now! This is great as it has wireless technology so no more having to keep plugging in and out :)I can use all my fave apps from my phone on Apple Carplay and start blasting my choons out again! Especially with the new Kenwood speakers that i got for my birthday :)Would definitely recommend this head unit to anyone and the interface is so easy to use.5 stars from me! Oh and delivery was mega quick too..

The unit is great quality build, clean vision. I was shocked how good stock 2 ohm speakers now sounds. Fitted to a 2006 Nissan Murano. Had to modify slightlyaluminium bezel frame of the OEM console, but nothing dramatic. Also, Kenwood has a great feature, called Direct steering wheel controls. There is no need to buy additional SWC adapter, if you own japanese or korean car. Just need to get 90 degrees angled 3.5 mm stereo jack, and to connect the wires to your car harness (info can be found over the Internet). Strongly recommended, especially when the price is good!

Ich wollte ein solides Radio mit Wireless Carplay und Wireless Android Auto. Ich habe extra den Aufpreis zu einem “China-Radio” bezahlt, da letztere nach meiner Beobachtung zwar alles können, aber nichts wirklich gut und Android selbst nunmal kein Betriebssystem ist, welches für Autoradios entwickelt und optimiert wurde. Letzteres sollten Hersteller wie Kenwood besser können.Das positive zuerst:-Bootzeit okay-super Klang, die Serienlautsprecher klingen plötzlich besser als ich je gedacht hätte.-Wireless Carplay funktioniert ohne Zicken, Android Auto bis jetzt noch nicht getestet.die groÃen Kritikpunkte:-Das Display ist mal richtig peinlich! Es könnte deutlich heller sein, es ist etwas blass und reflektiert zu stark. Das 12 Jahre alte olle Original-Radio hatte ein Display, welches meiner Erachtens deutlich besser performte. Und warum muss man allen Ernstes noch ein Display mit einer Auflösung von 800×480 verbauen? Im Carplay-Betrieb denkt man sich doch immer mal wieder “Mehr Auflösung wär jetzt super”. Vor dem Kauf hab ich nicht auf die Auflösung geachtet, das es sowas noch gibt lag ausserhalb meiner Fantasie.-Die Software wirkt irgendwie lieblos. Da ich hauptsächlich Carplay nutze nicht so schlimm. Im Radiobetrieb (sowohl DAB als auch UKW) werden die Schwächen z.B. deutlich. Es wird mit vielen Abkürzungen und seltsamen Symbolen herumgeworfen. Ich hätte nie gedacht, das Radiohören so kompliziert sein kann. Es gibt z.B. auch “DAB1”, “DAB2” und “DAB3”, statt einfach ein “DAB” mit ausreichend Speicherplätzen.-Das Einlesen von USB-Sticks ging beim 13 Jahre alten Originalgerät DEUTLICH schneller! Schlimmer noch, nach jedem Einschalten der Zündung braucht das Ding wieder bis zu einer Minute, bis der Stick wieder eingelesen wurde und der letztgespielte Titel weitergeht. Ich hatte am alten Radio immer einen Stick mit 2000 gemischten Titeln als Dudelfunk-Ersatz, nach jedem Einschalten ging es da SOFORT mit der Wiedergabe weiter! Mit dem Kenwood ist das nun leider vorbei. Auch bei Wiedergabe vom USB-Stick wirkt das Menü auf mich eher wie ein schlechter Winamp-Skin statt wie eine aufgeräumte Oberfläche.Ich behalte das Radio, aber weiterempfehlen kann ich es leider nicht. Das höherwertige DMX8021DABS hat bauartbedingt vermutlich einen besseren Bildschirm, aber eine ähnlich lächerliche Auflösung und wohl ähnliche Software. Schade, dass die solide Mittelklasse an Autoradios auszusterben scheint. Evetuell ist man mit einem ordentlich gepflegten und unterstützem Chinaradio für weniger Geld doch besser dran. Oder man greift zu absoluten Oberklasse-Lösungen wie denen von Alpine sofern diese besser sind, aber das ist mir wiederrum doch zu teuer gewesen. Bei diesem Gerät hat man den Eindruck das Kenwood sich dachte: “Solange unser Name draufsteht verkauft es sich schon wie geschnitten Brot!”—-ERGÃNZUNG 26.04.2023—-Ich empfehle unbedingt das Firmware-Update einzuspielen (sowohl “Systemfirmware” als auch “Anwendung-Firmware”). Aber bedenken, dass dadurch das Radio auf Werkseinstellungen zurückgesetzt wird.Das Einlesen von Sticks wird etwas beschleunigt, aber dauert noch immer zu lange.Ein weiterer Fehler, dass oft keine DAB-Senderliste angezeigt werden konnte, wurde so auch behoben.Ich bin daher gnädig und erhöhe auf 4 Sterne. Zur Bedienung muss noch ergänzt werden, hat man sich an so einige Sachen gewöhnt, kommt man auch recht gut damit klar. Auch wenn es nach wie vor lieblos wirkt.—-ERGÃNZUNG 21.02.2024—-Muss wieder einen Stern abziehen. Da ich jetzt zusätzlich mit Diensthandy unterwegs bin wurde noch eine gravierende Schwäche deutlich. Es besteht ja die Möglichkeit zwei Handys gleichzeitg zu koppeln. Plan also: Privates iPhone mit Wireless Carplay für Musik, Navigation und private Telefonate. Dienstliches iPhone klassisch ohne Carplay nur für eingehende Anrufe.Habe ich beide iPhones dabei, ist kein Wireless Carplay mehr verfügbar. Ich muss erst wieder mein privates iPhone per USB verbinden. Ziemlich nervig.Und der schon mehrfach beschriebene Fehler mit der gelegentlich nicht erkannten GPS-Antenne tritt bei mir zu allem Ãberfluss auch seit Monaten auf. Mehrere Updates erfolglos eingespielt. Eines vom Dezember hätte ich noch offen. Aber jedes mal darf man danach alle Einstellungen, inkl. Klang und Senderspeicher neu vornehmen. Da vergeht es mir.Einfach enttäuschend.

Habe das Gerät seit Anfang des Jahres 2024 und muà nun leider feststellen, dass es nicht so funktioniert wie ich es mir erwartet habe. Die Bedienung des Touchscreens ist nicht gut, da man zur Bedienung immer den Blick von der Strasse abwenden muss. Im Modus USB ist eine Bedienung ohne Blindflug nicht möglich. Will man auf dem USB Stick etwas suchen, sollte man besser anhalten und es dann versuchen. Dem Gerät ist es nicht möglich angelegte Musikordner so anzuzeigen wie diese auf dem USB Stick gespeichert sind. Habe keine Ahnung ob der Fehler bei mir liegt oder ob das Gerät es wirklich nicht besser kann. Der Radioempfang ist nur mittelprächtig. Habe zwar eine DAB Antenne gekauft, werde diese nicht mehr installieren, da ich das Gerät wahrscheinlich wieder ausbaue und verkaufen werde. Ich kann dieses Gerät nur bedingt empfehlen. Ich denke es gibt andere Hersteller die es besser können.
